The National Emergency System (Sinae) reported that 11 COVID-19 deaths were confirmed on Wednesday and 548 new cases of COVID-19 were detected. In addition, Uruguay was again below 6. 000 active cases after several weeks.
This Wednesday there were 7. 829 analyses and 548 new cases were detected. "Of the 548 new cases, 233 come from Montevideo, 117 from Canelones, 31 from Rocha, 27 Of Maldonado, 25 of Tacuarembó, 15 of San José, 14 of Cerro Largo, 14 of Salto, 13 of Rio Negro, 11 of Paysandú, 10 of Peach, 9 of Cologne, 9 of Soriano, 7 of Lavalleja, 6 of Florida, 5 of Artigas, one of Rivera and one of Thirty-Three".
There are currently 5. 931 active cases and 90 intensive care patients.
Of the 11 deaths from new coronaviruses, 6 were patients of 94, 88, 77, 73, 71 and 32 inhabitants of Montevideo; two Canelones patients, 88 and 83 years old; a 96-year-old Maldonado patient; a 93-year-old patient from Tacuarembó and an 80-year-old patient from Rivera. So far, there have been 464 COVID-19 deaths in Uruguay.
