A 48-year-old man from Salto sold an Army mortar grenade on Facebook and fired a police operation to inspect the explosive device.

Specialists confirmed that it was a 1954 grenade that had no fuze or cargo, so it posed no threat. Anyway, the artifact was confiscated and will be destroyed.

The man said he acquired the explosive at a fair and posted it on social media to sell it because he needed the money.
